I've almost made 3/4 my investment in 2x Vega Sapphire cards back in monero in 1 month. You right, you right.

Hashrate Drop 1920h/s to 1650h/s by Harvey_B1rdman in MoneroMining

What I find is it's the card that set to my display. If it drops I just reset it in device manager and just start mining again. Usually that clears it up.

First time noticing AMD in a Requirement Section on a Cisco document by Harvey_B1rdman in Amd

For UC applications, which is all I work on, they've been strictly Intel. I don't doubt there are some AMDs out there but it was just first time I really noticed it.

I immediately went and checked the BE6/7k guide and about halfway down it says "Other CPU vendors such as AMD are not supported for UC."

HDD vs SSD for mining by monerros in MoneroMining

It has more to do with the amount of times you need to restart the computer to tune your rig. If you don't mind HDD speeds than go for it.

Yeah I really don't think so either but I haven't hit it yet. Gonna let it run until it does. Either way haven't dropped since then.

They're running at the 3000RPM min. But I think it may have been task manager that caused the issue. With it open the main card goes to ~1600 after 20 mins and now with it closed it hasn't happened... strange

I don't think it's temp related unless I'm completely missing something.

47c on thermal and 53c on HBM currently only 1632 h/s while my other card is 54c on thermal and 62c on HBM with 1834 h/s

Quick question about cpu and GPU mining by SoapyFresh in MoneroMining

No reason not. It'll only use the physical cores so you'll still be able to use the machine while mining.

Foxconn vs Lotes Threadripper Retention Bracket by nite_ in Amd

[–]Harvey_B1rdman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had this issue with the Asrock Fatal1ty board. Called Asrock and they were condescending to me saying it's easy just watch the video, it goes 1, 2, 3...

Anyway I found that you can close the bracket to essentially be parallel above threadripper and gently screw 2 and 3 in so it threads just a bit. Then do normal 1, 2, 3. Haven't had an issue with it yet. Though I'm reapplying thermal paste tonight so I might take a look at it.
